Reviews
I was on the trail and the time was already 5pm so I looked for tacos and they were the closest from the trail, and their review was really high so I decided to give it a try. When I walked in it's already packed which was a good sign, and luckily there was one table available and I sat there. I ordered Jamaica and 4 asada tacos, and I got all the condiments while they cook. Onions, limes, cucumbers, cilantros, and 3 kinds of salsas. As soon as I got tacos, I put asada on my tortilla, as well as cilantro, onion and salsa. I poured the red salsa A LOT on my first tacos and omg, soooo good! The asada was juicy and tender, full of umami to it! Then all the sudden, the red salsa kicked in, and I could not stop breathing weird and drinking Jamaica! Because I was soo in trouble with the hotness the ladies laughed at me and say "drink more water!" and I was like "I'm trying!" I tried all the other salsas but I still added a little bit of the red salsa on all the tacos so at the end, I was almost crying because of it, it was too hot and good! I couldn't stop because everything was too good. I will definitely come back soon.
First of all, the Agua Fresca is free. They have two options, Jamaica and Limade. You can ask for one or the other or for both, they'll bring the putchers to your table. I like doing half and half. The Carne asada is nothing special to write home about, they're ok. The alambre con queso tacos are messy but delicious, it's a little hard to distinguish where one taco ends and the other one starts. The gringas are just quesadillad with meat, I recommend the Pastor one. The pickled onion are amazing and so are the salsas, I recommend the orange one for spice and taste. Each order comes with eight tacos for around $9-$11depending on the meat. Service is friendly and the vibe is family oriented, I'll definitely be back for more.
When I say a diamond in the rough or hidden gem this place right here is that. Small whole in the wall in Central El Paso. Great service. If you dine in your get free lemonade. Buy an order get one free!! What more can you ask for. Love love this place!!
I enjoyed these tacos fairly inexpensive. Menu has gone through some changes so check it out. Everyday the tacos are buy one get one free only on the order of tacos. Excludes the cambo of soda, and backed potatoes. Ask before you order because it is only certain meats for the offer. Tripitas are new and you can have them made to your liking. I liked that the salsa bar includes cebollitas that are marinaded. You can decide whether your tacos have cheese or not. Place is fairly clean and the service is fairly quick. It is a busy place I must say finding parking can be tricky. I will definitely return.
Used to love this restaurant. You got a good portion of food equal to the amount of money you paid. Right now a simple order of tacos will cost you about $9. With the drink your looking at about $12. Too much for a family of four.
